Question 1

Do you charge for quotes?

Accepted Answer

Call 0420 596 677 or send the form and tell us what you want painted. We will come back to you with the next step for your job.

Question 2

How do I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Call 0420 596 677 or send the contact form with a short description of the job. Photos of the areas help. For bigger jobs we arrange a time to see the property before pricing it.

Question 3

What does a painting quote include?

Accepted Answer

The quote sets out the areas and surfaces covered, the preparation included and the total price, so you know exactly what you are paying for before work starts. If anything changes once work begins, it is discussed and agreed with you first.

Question 4

What painting services do you do?

Accepted Answer

Residential and commercial painting, inside and out: walls, ceilings, doors, windows, frames and skirting, weatherboards, render and brick, eaves, fascia, gutters, downpipes and pergolas. We also do body corporate common areas, timber staining and varnishing, aluminium window frame painting, roof painting, and surface preparation including minor plaster repairs, patching, sanding and stain blocking.

Question 5

What areas do you service?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Lyndhurst VIC 3975 and are finalising the full list of suburbs we cover for the website. Call 0420 596 677 and we will confirm straight away whether we cover your suburb.

Question 6

When are you open?

Accepted Answer

Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm. Closed Sundays.

Question 7

How far ahead do I need to book?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the season and the size of the job. Call with your dates and we will tell you the earliest realistic start. Exterior work is also weather dependent, and we keep you updated if rain moves things.

Question 8

How long does it take to paint a house?

Accepted Answer

A single room can be done in a day. A full interior usually takes several days, and a full exterior around a week including washing and preparation, depending on size and condition. You get a realistic timeframe with your quote.

Question 9

Can I stay home while you paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in most cases. We work through the house in stages and keep the rest liveable, and we let you know which areas are wet and for how long.

Question 10

Do I need to move my furniture?

Accepted Answer

We can move and cover furniture as part of the job. Clearing small items, ornaments and wall hangings before we arrive speeds things up. Tell us about anything heavy or delicate when we quote.

Question 11

Do you supply the paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, paint can be supplied as part of the job, and the quote makes clear what is included. If you prefer a particular brand or already have paint, tell us and we will work around it.

Question 12

Can you help me choose colours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us the look you are after and we can talk through colours and finishes that suit the room, the light and the style of the house. Final colour choices always sit with you.

Question 13

What is the difference between interior and exterior paint?

Accepted Answer

Exterior paint is made to handle sun, rain and temperature swings, with more flexibility and tougher resins. Interior paint is made for washability and a smooth finish in living spaces. They are not interchangeable, and we use the right product for each surface.

Question 14

Will a water stain keep showing through new paint?

Accepted Answer

Not if it is handled properly. Fix the leak first, then the stain is sealed with a stain-blocking primer before topcoats. Painting straight over a stain without blocking it is why stains come back.

Question 15

Can you paint over peeling paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but the loose paint has to come off first. Peeling areas are scraped and sanded back to a sound edge, bare spots are primed, and then topcoats go on. Painting straight over peeling paint just locks the problem in.

Question 16

Do you do small jobs, like one room or a few doors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Single rooms, trim touch-ups and small repairs are all welcome. Call and describe the job and we will tell you how we can fit it in.

Question 17

Do you paint body corporate common areas?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Corridors, stairwells, apartment doors and shared areas, with a scoped written quote the committee can table and approve. See the body corporate painting page for how the work is staged.

Question 18

Do you paint roofs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, tile and metal roofs. The roof is pressure cleaned, pointing and minor repairs are done, then primer and roof membrane coats are applied. See the roof painting page for the full process.
