Ask any good painter what makes a finish last and the answer is preparation. Paint is a thin coating. It shows every dent, crack and stain under it, and it peels off any surface that was dusty, greasy or glossy when it was applied.
Surface preparation is built into every Prime Painting Experts job: minor plaster repairs, patching, sanding and stain blocking. It is also available as part of quoting for any repaint, so the price you agree covers the whole job, not just the colour.
What is included
Minor plaster repairs. Dents, holes from old fixings, and small damaged areas patched and sanded smooth. Larger plaster damage may need a plasterer first - we will tell you if that is the case.
Crack filling and sanding. Settlement cracks and rough patches filled and sanded flat.
Stain blocking. Water marks, smoke and nicotine stains sealed so they cannot bleed back through the new paint. Fix the leak first; then we seal the stain.
Gap sealing. Gaps at skirting, architraves and corners sealed for clean lines.
Priming. Bare and patched areas primed so topcoats go on evenly.
